Do all that you can not to carry the damage inflicted on you in a previous relationship into a new one. Because you were looked down upon by someone else, doesn't mean you carry that disdain with you. Each disrespectful expression towards a loving individual further chips away at the future of the relationship. A lack of respect shown your spouse, causes you to be rejected with contempt.
