TWO MASTERS
It is written, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
This divine text is true with money and idols. We may have to release from an attachment or connection to material possessions in order to gain spiritual ones. The act of dividing, or disconnecting, causing a state of separation between persons or groups will release God's promise in our lives. We pass from a physical state to that of a spiritual phase when isolated or detached from earthly concerns.
